Cady Coleman Releases 'Sharing Space' Autobiography, Celebrating Eileen Collins' 25 Years Since STS-93 Commanding Chandra Mission

Cady Coleman, a former NASA astronaut, has released her autobiography titled 'Sharing Space: An Astronaut's Guide to Mission, Wonder, and Making Change.' The book discusses her experiences in a system that was not designed with women in mind. Coleman's work has been praised for its readability and engaging content. Additionally, on July 23, 2024, the space community commemorated the 25th anniversary of Eileen Collins becoming the first female commander of a space shuttle. Collins commanded the Space Shuttle Columbia on mission STS-93, which successfully placed the Chandra X-Ray Observatory into orbit.
